Kyle Rigsby, LPC-MHSP

Kyle has earned two Master’s Degrees, one in Psychology and one in Professional Counseling, from Lipscomb University in Nashville, Tennessee.  Over the last six years, Kyle has worked with men, women and teens both individually as well as in group settings.  He leads intensive, experiential weekends for men, speaks at father and son retreats, and works individually with men and women in the areas of trauma, PTSD, Sports Performance Training, pornography use, addiction, spirituality, anger/rage, childhood abuse, and intimacy /attachment deficits.  Kyle works regularly with the Father’s Heart, Samson Society, and the New Adam Weekends.  Kyle is licensed in the State of Tennessee as a Licensed Professional Counselor with Mental Health Service Provider designation.

Kyle also has many years of experience and a love for working with youth.  As an elementary school teacher for twenty years, he has served the Franklin, Tennessee community passionately in his love for kids and their well-being.  He works with teenagers in conventional therapy, EMDR trauma therapy as well as Sports Performance.  

Kyle is a former athlete and played high school, college and professional baseball.  He coached college baseball for five years after his playing career ended.  He works with high school and college athletes, as well as professional athletes in the development of their psychological approach to their chosen sport.  Helping athletes visualize success in their sport is a passion of Kyle’s and he looks forward to working with more athletes in the future.

Kyle is also qualified to administer EMDR (Eye Movement, Desensitization and Reprocessing) which is a trauma based therapeutic modality that allows the individual to reprocess traumatic events from his or her past.  This modality has a high success rate and extensive research has been performed in this area to validate the effectiveness of this technique.  He has completed the basic training Weekends 1 & 2, as well as Advanced Training in EMDR - Healing the Wounds of Attachment & Rebuilding Self.
